2008 Lexus RX

The 2008 Lexus RX was introduced with two basic packages, the standard 350 and the hybrid 400h. Each of these two versions of the luxury SUV sets its own standard in the industry. Both models provide world-class comfort, performance and versatility to their owners.

The '08 RX 350 is based largely on the 2007 model, while the hybrid has several modifications in its configuration clearly highlighting the difference in the technology.

The 2008 Lexus RX is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The hybrid version has a 3.3-liter V6 along with an electric motor for enhanced mileage (27 mpg city) and lowered emission rates. The 350 has a five-speed automatic shifting mechanism and is capable of running 23 miles per gallon on the highway.

With the same 270hp and 251lb-ft torque configuration, the '08 RX also has beautiful 18-inch liquid graphite wheels. Both two-wheel and four-wheel drive options are available. The two-wheel drive model accelerates 0-60mph in a mere 7.3 seconds, making its acceleration marginally higher than the four-wheel drive version, which takes 7.4 seconds to hit 60mph.

2007 Lexus RX

A 3.5 liter V6 engine powers the 2007 Lexus RX, making it significantly more powerful than the earlier versions. The exterior has also had a makeover with differently designed high-intensity headlamps as well as a redesigned interior cabin.

In the 2007 Lexus RX, the new engine delivers a higher horsepower of 270hp and a corresponding torque of 251lb-ft. The shifting mechanism for the 5-speed automatic transmission has been modified for better performance. The five-seater SUV also has an anti-skid mechanism and the drive mode can be either two-wheel or four-wheel.

The '07 RX has a tire-pressure monitoring system and vehicle stability control, along with multiple airbags that together make this SUV as safe as it is smooth. A navigation system, an upgraded entertainment system and a rear-vision camera are some of the features worth mentioning that enhance the comfort level of this vehicle.
